Description
Technology
Built on a refined blend of high-modulus graphite and advanced resin systems, the GLX DROP SHOT blank is engineered to deliver remarkable balance and responsiveness under finesse loads. Its compound taper, formed on stepped mandrels with strategically placed micro-tapers, reinforces critical stress points while shaping a flex profile optimized for drop shotting. The result is a lively, communicative tip that preserves natural bait movement and maintains tension, transitioning into a composed midsection that converts light pressure into confident hooksets.
Fuji K SiC guides manage braid-to-leader connections cleanly and keep overall weight to a minimum during long, controlled presentations. A custom CI4+ reel seat and premium cork grip heighten sensitivity while providing ergonomic comfort through hours of precise, methodical fishing. Designed and rolled in Woodland, Washington, the GLX DROP SHOT is built for anglers who measure success in inches and feel the difference between bottom and bite.

Ci4+ Reel Seat
CI4 is an original material reinforced with carbon fiber that is lighter and has a higher strength than conventional resin material. CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material and is 2.5x more rigid than its predecessor. The use of CI4+ for the reel seat increases sensitivity and reduces weight while also delivering remarkable rigidity for perfect reel fixation and better rod efficiency.

TAPERTEC
The TaperTec design philosophy builds upon our heritage of rod-building innovation by leveraging mathematical modeling prior to mandrel production. Compared to an iterative rod-building approach, TaperTec allows our team to optimize rod designs and fine-tune actions before prototyping to shorten development timelines and minimize environmental impact. For anglers, TaperTec delivers lighter and more efficient tools with optimized weight and strength to boost effectiveness on the water.
