Robbie has covered most aspects of UK fly fishing. As well as being a proficient river and stillwater angler, an experienced instructor and guide in salmon and trout disiplines, he is also an expert fly-tyer and has also managed stillwater trout fisheries from Devon to Cumbria. Now based at Rutland Water, where he works at the reservoir’s tackle shop, he is a regular contributor in Trout Fisherman magazine.

Blair Banks
Fishing is in Blair’s blood, his family have fished on Scotland’s River Spey for generations.He first started fishing at the age of three and this lead to becoming a fanatical salmon and sea trout angler. It seemed only natural to make a career out of his passion.
Blair is a ghillie on the famous Brae water beat on the Spey. He is also a keen competitive Spey caster, having won the Scottish Championship for the last three years.

Robert Harper
The coming of 2010 season will be Rob’s 34th season on the River Dee.Rob started as an apprentice ghillie with Dunecht Estates on the Lower Crathes/West Durris beats in 1976,serving 7 years before moving up stream to Dunechts other beat on the River Birse. After 7 years he moved back to Lower Crathes to take up the head ghillie position. Rob is a member of the Dee Ghillies Group with spells on the Dee District Salmon Fishery Board.

Shane Jones
Shane started fly fishing when he was 12 years old. In his Teens he became Welsh Youth Champion on 5 occasions in both fishing and flytying, before winning the British Senior Advanced Class Final. He also holds a Gold and Bronze in the world renowned Scandinavian Open. He has captained the Welsh Youth, and later the Welsh Senior Flyfishing team. These days Shane is happiest coaching, teaching and watching the success and progress of others. He writes regular articles for UK publications and in the winter he travels the UK giving talks and demonstrations to clubs.

Bob White
Bob has been game fishing for over 30 years and has been a professional salmon fishing guide for the last 8 years on the river Tay in Perthshire, Scotland. He is the head ghillie on the Stanley fishing stretch of the Tay. Bob is a passionate fly fisher and has designed his own range of salmon flies. He has a good knowledge of salmon fishing in Scotland and Iceland.

Simon Robinson
Simon started competition fishing aged 14 and quickly qualified for the England Youth team, fishing 4 internationals and becoming individual international champion and also captaining the team. Simon then progressed to the full senior team in 2000 and has since become one of the most successful all round competition anglers in the UK. Aged 32 he has represented England on 24 occasions, 7 world championships, 3 European championships, 8 lochstyle and 6 Rivers championships. As well as numerous team medals in home internationals Simon was part of the England team that became world champions in Scotland in 2009. Individually Simon has been international rivers champion on 2 occasions, national rivers champion, International Lochstyle champion and also twice been top individual in the English National small water bank fishing championships.

Leslie Holmes
Leslie started fishing when he was 4 years old. He owns and operates Stonewalls Trout Fishery & School of Fly Fishing in Castlerock Northern Ireland. Leslie is a Federation of Fly Fishers Master Casting Instructor and also holds the Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors qualifications in both single and double handed disciplines as well being a qualified assessor and mentor for G.A.I.A & A.P.G.A.I He is also a qualified guide specializing in Mullet & Sea Trout on the fly on North coast of Ireland. Leslie has fished extensively in Australia, Canada and at present enjoys pursuing salt water species in Florida. His main passion is sharing his knowledge whilst teaching and demonstrating fly casting and fishing techniques.
